Our Hike & Quality Social's Event On March 28th

On March 28th, starting at 7pm at Quality Social, 'Our Hike' will be hosting an event 'Our Hike For A Cure' which will be a charity event and is working closely with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to raise awareness for MS. Jazz music will accompany live paintings, from Andrea Welton and Shawn David Baker, and a live auction, which will be sponsored by The LIE Show's Blest Brando and EvDigital, to help raise money for this cause. All proceeds will be used to help further the awareness of Multiple Sclerosis and for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Our Hike will be helping raise awareness by hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. The hike will take place starting on April 12th, of this year, to the end of this year. There is such a huge difference when doing drills or sparring with this suit involved! It's nice to get the feel of an actual fight now without someone getting seriously hurt. We do some interception, limited pressing/defense drills, and some free-form pressing/defense drills in the video. This is not intended to be instructional, so constructive comments etc are appreciated.

22 Febbraio TYCHO line up: ANNA MAGDALENA (live) TYCHO [USA] (live) Un piccolo miracolo di grazia e raffinatezza: l'album "Dive" del californiano Tycho, Scott Hansen all'anagrafe, ha fatto presto a conquistare le attenzioni di tutta la scena elettronica -- quella meno disposta a farsi suggestionare da facili soluzioni danzerecce con la cassa in quattro e più attenta invece a fattori fondamentali quali forza espressiva, capacità di disegnare atmosfere aeree e di lavorare sulle dinamiche. Dopo Gold Panda, una delle rivelazioni del 2011, un altro ottimo colpo per la Ghostly, la label americana che è la casa di grandi nomi come Matthew Dear, Dabrye, Lusine, Com Truise e Christopher Willits. Nulla di strano che la musica targata Tycho, pur immersa pienamente nella civiltà del digitale, abbia una fortissima componente cinematica: negli anni infatti Hansen ha sviluppato parallelamente all'attività di musicista anche quella di designer (sotto la sigla ISO50) combinando spesso e! volentieri le due arti, caratterizzandole entrambe con una visione estetica molto particolare: brillanti colori primari che vengono immersi in malinconie nebbiose e delicate. Vale per i suoi lavori grafici, come modus operandi, ma vale anche e soprattutto per le sue creazioni sonore. Non è solo questione di lavorare su toni e registri, comunque. Nella musica di Tycho, già col suo album d'esordio del 2004 "Sunrise Projector" (poi rieditato due anni più tardi, aggiungendo ulteriori tracce, col nome "Past Is ...
